James 1:9-18
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above."
James warns believers that as they go through trials, they need to beware of falling into pride and temptation. Both pride and temptation ultimately lead to death, while humility and grace from God lead to eternal life. Believers need to keep the right perspective and stay guard if they are going to persevere through the trials of life.
