Acts 20:13-38
As the Apostle Paul says farewell to many of the church leaders that he has invested in over the years, he reminds them of their purpose within the church. God has set people in leadership over the church to care for them and to protect them. Paul speaks about his example that they have seen over the years; that he had sacrificially given his all to care for and invest in the church. This is the example that godly church leaders will follow, but also the example that godly church members will trust in their lives. The emphasis that Paul puts on the church and its people teaches us that the church is important to God and should be to us as well!
