Daniel's faith is tested yet again as the king decrees that everyone must pray to only him. But Daniel does what he always does because his relationship with God is more important than any consequence the king could come up with. Daniel obeys God and is miraculously protected from harm. If Christ-followers want to be faithful in a fleeting world, they must have a vibrant relationship with the Lord. A relationship that takes priority because it is life-giving.
