James 5:13-18

“Prayer can do anything God can do and God can do anything!" - Adrian Rogers

James concludes his letter to the church with instructions on how to overcome the physical, mental, and spiritual sufferings of this world while being patient for the Lord’s return. Prayer and praying are mentioned in every verse of this passage! He says if you are suffering, pray, if you are cheerful, pray by singing praises, if you are weary and weak physically, call for the elders of the church and have them pray over you. He commands us to confess our sins to one another and pray for one another so that we will be healed or cured. Make no mistake, this passage is about the power of prayer.
