The local church is a vital part of God’s plan. The people in every local body of believers represent Jesus Christ. Therefore, they have been called to serve and meet the needs of the community God has placed them in, just as Christ did. For any group of people to be effective in service, there must be organization, and the organization must be led by someone. God has left clear instructions in His word for the leadership of His church.
