Acts 21:1-16
Fortitude: noun - courage in pain or adversity
The Apostle Paul is the living embodiment of fortitude. Next to Jesus Christ, no other man prevailed over such tremendous challenges while remaining dedicated to the calling of their life. We are nearing the end of Paul's final missionary journey. His travels have been saturated with kingdom building, and the new churches he is planting display miraculous unity. While Paul's purpose is to encourage and build up the fellowship, the believers he meets along the way are just as much of an encouragement to him. Our passage today shows Paul's dedication to his calling, even when it contradicts the wishes of his fellow christians.
